Leadership starts in our own homes

As working parents, we carry a lot. Our days are full of meetings, deadlines, errands, and everything it takes to keep a household moving. It is easy to feel like there is no time left for the things that matter most. Like deep conversations about our kids’ days, what feeling they’re experiencing after an argument at school, or why they really threw a fit after practice.

But after doing this parenting gig for a bit, I’ve learned this: it’s not about having more time. It’s about using the moments we already have with intention.

Think about the time you spend waiting in the carpool line, loading the dishwasher, or scrolling your phone for a few minutes. What if 9 of those minutes each day became the way your kids knew, without a doubt, that they are loved and seen?

That is what this Masterclass called “9 Minutes a Day For a Lifetime of Connection” is about. In less than 30 minutes, we talk about how to create simple, meaningful connection in your everyday routine. Not by adding more, but by showing up with purpose.

When we do this, we not only ease the guilt of “too busy.” We raise leaders in our own homes. We  teach our kids what it looks like to be present, to care, and to grow into good humans.

This is not about perfection. It is about knowing how and when to show up. For them. For ourselves. For the kind of family we want to lead.
